Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using FORKED ("theforked.ai" and related services), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

FORKED is an interactive decision-making platform that provides:

  • Interactive Stories — branching narrative experiences where you make business decisions
  • AI-Powered Analysis — personalized decision profiles and insights (Pro feature)
  • Blog Articles — critical analysis of real-world CEO decisions
  • Decision Muscle System — skill tracking based on your choices

3. Accounts

You may create an account using Google OAuth or email. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use FORKED.

4. Purchases & Payments

FORKED offers the following paid products:

  • Pro Pass — unlocks AI-powered features (one-time purchase)
  • Story DLC — individual premium stories (one-time purchase)
  • Launch Bundle — Pro Pass + selected stories (one-time purchase)
  • Season Pack — bundled stories per season (one-time purchase)

All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our Merchant of Record. By making a purchase, you also agree to Lemon Squeezy's terms.

Refund Policy

We offer refunds within 14 days of purchase if you have not substantially used the purchased content. To request a refund, email hello@theforked.ai.

Digital content that has been fully consumed (e.g., a completed story) may not be eligible for a refund.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on FORKED — including stories, articles, AI prompts, decision frameworks, illustrations, and code — is owned by FORKED or its licensors. You may not:

  • Copy, redistribute, or republish our content without permission
  • Use our content for commercial purposes
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically download content
  • Create derivative works from our stories or frameworks

You may share links to our articles and share your decision results on social media — we encourage it!

6. User Content

When you use FORKED, your choices, decisions, and any feedback you provide may be used (in anonymized, aggregate form) to improve our services and create aggregate statistics (e.g., "68% of users chose to fire the CTO").

We will never publicly associate your personal identity with specific decisions without your explicit consent.

7. AI Disclaimer

FORKED uses AI to generate content, analysis, and recommendations. AI-generated content is:

  • For entertainment and educational purposes only
  • Not professional business, financial, or legal advice
  • Potentially inaccurate or incomplete
  • Clearly marked with fact/inference/opinion labels where applicable

Do not make real business decisions based solely on FORKED content. Always consult qualified professionals for important decisions.

8. Blog Content & Fair Use

Our blog articles analyze publicly available information about business leaders and companies. We strive for accuracy and clearly label claims as:

  • ✓ Verified facts (with sources)
  • ⚡ Inferences (our analysis)
  • 💬 Opinions (clearly marked)

If you believe any content infringes your rights, please see our DMCA Policy.

9. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

  • Use FORKED for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the service
  • Create multiple accounts to abuse free tiers or promotions
  • Use automated tools to access the service (bots, scrapers, etc.)

10. Limitation of Liability

FORKED is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months
  • We are not responsible for decisions you make based on our content

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by emailing hello@theforked.ai.

12. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or on-site notice.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Taipei, Taiwan.
